“Creating Magic,” by Lee Cockerell includes a wealth of tips for pragmatic management that motivates people to perform at their best. Among the many bits of advice Cockerell offers is that it’s important to listen to your people if you expect them to stay engaged in their work. The author applied many of the concepts in his book when he worked for Disney.

This renowned book features all kinds of advice for rewiring your brain to maintain positive habits.
Zappos founder Tony Hsieh details his approach to company culture in “Delivering Happiness.” We’ve found his tips very useful in creating a positive work atmosphere. Hsieh asserts that building a supportive culture allows everything else to fall into place.
